Dr. David Bahrami

Dr. David Bahrami grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, where he received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi College.  He then received his M.D. degree from University of Mississippi in 1997.  Dr. Bahrami completed both his internal medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at University of Mississippi Medical Center.  He has completed board certification in internal medicine and is currently board certified in Nephrology.

During his long tenure with the practice he has many roles and has served on numerous committees at both Piedmont Atlanta and Piedmont Fayette Hospital.  These include section chief of nephrology for both hospitals, and Chairman of Department of Medicine at both hospitals.  He has also served on the Medical Executive committees for both hospitals representing his peers.  During his tenure he has been instrumental in establishing many protocols for nephrologists. Currently Dr. Bahrami is serving as Section Chief of Nephrology at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Dr. Bahrami’s areas of expertise include hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, and glomerulonephritis.   He especially has keen interest in methods to delay the progression of kidney failure, which can lead to dialysis.

Dr. Bahrami in his leisure time enjoys spending time with his wife Azi, and his young son, David keyan Jr, and his immediate family who reside in Smyrna.  He is also an avid SEC Football fan.

Dr. Bahrami is full-time at our Atlanta office and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Sheldon Shore

Dr. Sheldon Shore has been a partner with Nephrology Consultants of Georgia since 2000.  He is Chief of Nephrology of Piedmont Clinic.  Dr. Shore graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland and moved to The United States in 1995 to complete his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Shore is an award-winning physician who is known for his compassionate bedside manner and success at treating the most challenging acute, and chronic kidney disease cases.  He specializes in the management of Refractory Hypertension, Glomerular Diseases, Electrolyte Disorders and Renal Transplants.  He and his wife Lisa live in Atlanta are the proud parents of three sons.  Dr. Shore became a US citizen in 2015.  He is accepting new patients at The Piedmont Atlanta Office.

Dr. Edrea Jones

Dr. Jones grew up in Atlanta where she graduated from the Lovett High School.  She next received a bachelor of arts degree at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.  Dr. Jones received her M.D. degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, where she was awarded a medical research grant from the American Cancer Society in 1993. 

Dr. Jones completed her internal medicine residency at Emory University School of Medicine.  She then spent three years as a hospitalist at Emory Crawford Long Hospital. She subsequently returned to training and completed a nephrology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.  She is a member of the Renal Physicians Association, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American College of Physicians.
