Dr. Yoo grew up in New Jersey where he received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. He joined the US Army in 2002 where he began his training at New Jersey Medical School in Newark, N.J and finished in 2006. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. in 2009. He was subsequently deployed to Iraq as a battalion surgeon with the first armored division from 2009 to 2010. During his military service he received a bronze star for exemplary service. After his deployment to Iraq he served on the medical staff at Womack Army Medical Center in fort Bragg, N.C. He subsequently began a nephrology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Yoo is board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology.
After finishing his fellowship he and his family relocated to Georgia where he worked at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia as the Chief of Nephrology. Dr. Yoo lives in Senoia with his wife and his young daughter. Dr. Yoo works full-time at our Fayetteville office and is accepting new patients.
